Partnership between Seat Pagine Gialle and Telespazio

Seat Pagine Gialle, Italy’s telephone directory company,
and Telespazio have signed a multi-year partnership agreement
to produce Pagine Gialle Visual, the new generation online
directory, available at visual.paginegialle.it.
New images
will be produced by Telespazio in 2006-2007, thereby ensuring
the website is constantly updated to an unprecedented level
in this sector.
Telespazio will provide the website with aerial photos with a resolution of 20cm for Italy’s 103 provincial capitals and some sites of interest (Costa Smeralda, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, etc.). As well as these cities, Telespazio will supply SEAT with aerial photos covering the whole of Italy, at a resolution of 50cm.

SEAT will have exclusive use of these images for a period of two years, while paginegialle.it and other sites of the networks, as well as their traditional paper products, will have an unlimited use licence.
“The agreement signed today represents an important means of accessing the consumers’ market for Telespazio technology. SEAT is very well-placed in the market, and represents an opportunity to launch further initiatives aimed at the public” said Telespazio’s Chief Executive Giuseppe Veredice.
Pagine Gialle Visual are already available online for the cities of Turin, Milan and Florence, and will be available for another 20 cities and six places of interest (Costa Smeralda, Amalfi Coast, etc.) by the end of the year. The site is expected to complete its coverage of Italy in 2007.
