Finmeccanica, through Telespazio and Selex Sistemi Intergrati, sponsored the XIII Rome Marathon, that was ran on Sunday 18 March. On the occasion of this important event, Telespazio – through its subsidiary Telbios – for the first time in Italy, offered a new service for monitoring athletes’ metabolic parameters.

25 marathon runners wore the special device around their arm, weighing around 80 grams, that uses special sensors to "record" their main vital signs.
