Telespazio takes part in Forum PA 2008
|

Telespazio takes part in the 19th
Forum PA, which will be
held from 12 to 15 May at the Nuova Fiera
di Roma. The company will present the SARC
system, used for monitoring and controlling
the Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway, and
the Satellite Services Centre set up to
run communications for Italian government
organisations and companies operating in
Iraq.
Within Forum PA, Telespazio will sponsor
TechFOr, the exhibition
devoted to technological innovation and
projects for the police and security services
throughout Italy. Here, Telespazio will
demonstrate the features of SARC,
the system set up for the Interior ministry
with the collaboration of the Finmeccanica
group companies Selex Service Management,
ElsagDatamat, and Selex Communications,
as well as Telecom Italia.
The system, which has been operational since October 2006, provides continuous monitoring and surveillance for the A3 (Salerno-Reggio Calabria) motorway, as well as for a number of service areas along arterial roads in southern Italy.

Also at Forum PA 2008 Telespazio will present,
within the Interior ministry’s exhibition
stand, the Satellite Services Centre
set up to support companies, institutions,
and government bodies operating in Iraq.
The project, developed by Telespazio and
operational since January 2008, makes available
to MAE international co-operation services
a technological communication platform in
Iraq that offers broadband satellite services.
The centre can provide data, voice, and
internet transmission services, as well
as videoconferencing applications. Moreover,
the satellite technological platform can
be used for remote healthcare and training.
