World Cup 2010 matches broadcast by RAI Uno can also be viewed in high definition on TivůSat’s Channel 101 via the Eutelsat HOT BIRD™ satellite (13° East) thanks to an agreement between RAI and Telespazio (Finmeccanica/Thales).
For this occasion RAI uses a 10 Mbps channel of the digital platforms operating on HOT BIRD™ and at Telespazio’s Fucino Space Centre (“RAI HD”, FX freq. 11.179 MHz, pol. X / Horizontal, S.R. 27500 – FEC 3/4).
A CAM+Card package is available from Tivůsat for viewing these matches via satellite. This can be used with television sets that have a satellite tuner or with satellite receivers equipped with a Common Interface slot.
